I appreciate nice lines. I don’t want to be an art fascist. I’m not suggesting that all art needs to be content heavy, or meaning heavy, or even that all art has to operate beyond the level of form *checks list to make sure all bases covered*

but I don’t want to engage with an art that’s such a closed circuit

I’ve always felt that work like this is blowing everyone off. I don’t know why you would want to defend something that looks like it could give a shit what you think about it, that so openly states its finishedness
